Friday Favorites: Powder Room Remodel

Updating bathrooms is one of my most favorite things to do in a home.  You can have so much fun with all the products available!  I have a few "go to" retailers that I have on repeat over and over due to their amazing pricing and the quality of product that I consistently get.

This bathroom is a small powder room off of my client's mudroom.  We decided that because of it's small size, adding drama was a must.  We talked about wallpaper (one of my favorite ways to add drama right now - a post on that coming soon!), but ultimately we settled on adding wainscoting and a full floor to ceiling tile wall behind the vanity.  We also both LOVE aged brass so that was a must!  The result is totally incredible!  We joked one day that we could sit and chat in that bathroom all day because there were so many beautiful things to look at!

Can you stand how beautiful this came out??  The basketweave pattern in Carrera marble started our entire process and came from Wayfair.  We chose sconces also from Wayfair along with the blue subway tile and mirror.  The curved Carrera marble vanity was another Wayfair score!  The cordless roman shade with navy ribbon trim was from Country Curtains which sadly has gone out of business, but is a great, classic addition to this room.  The contractor added beautiful wainscoting in the board and batten pattern and we chose a light gray color for the walls to blend into the light gray grout in the subway tile.  If you look in the mirror in the second photo, you can see that we also added bead board to the ceiling to create even more interest (this also hid some patching that was needed due to removing a ceiling fan).  Lastly, we opted for switching out the knobs that came on the vanity for some that match the faucet from Restoration Hardware, which are on order and will complete this beauty!
